Franklin Mint FCU Forms Foundation
Franklin Mint FCU, Broomall PA, has formed the Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union Foundation Inc., which is committed to helping children, families, and others attain strong personal finance skills; and support youth education and charitable causes within the community.
Rick Durante, who was recently promoted to Vice President of Education, will oversee the Foundation and serve as its Executive Director. The Foundation will provide funding for post-secondary scholarships, in-school financial literacy programs, educational field trips, educator awards, grants, and Delco Hi-Q support.
“Education and financial literacy play an important role at the credit union and in the communities we serve. Through Rick’s efforts and involvement, he helped elevate FMFCU in the educational community. Surely he will continue to have a viable, visible role in helping further FMFCU’s educational cause,” says John Unangst, President/CEO.
The foundation is an incorporated non profit Pennsylvania corporation, 501(c)(3)status is pending.
